Part Time Bookkeeper/Accountant – 2 Days per Week

(Hours Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm, flexible working possible with hours to suit you).




Working from home. Occasional travel to business meetings.

Thanks to our continued growth we are looking for a part-time bookkeeper/accountant to join our friendly team.



You will be an experienced bookkeeper/accountant, perhaps semi-retired, with a young family or looking for a portfolio career and appreciative of the part time nature of the work.


Producing management accounts from scratch in Excel will be no problem for you and you’ll be able to quickly get to grips with our bookings software from which you’ll be pulling all your data. You’ll be a self-starter who is able to easily find answers for yourself and not merely produce the numbers but advise the business on best practice.


Working from home (you’ll be required to attend office/get-togethers once every now and again), you’ll need a fast broadband connection and be happy and self-motivated enough to work remotely.


You will be looking after all things accounting related for us, using your experience to complete all of the following tasks as well as becoming a trusted accounting counsel for the business.


As the business grows, so will the opportunities to take on more work and responsibilities.


The main tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.

  • Quarterly VAT returns.

  • Purchase and sales ledger management.

  • Calculating and paying the monthly owner settlement statements.

  • Filing of all statutory documents with HMRC & Companies House.

  • Financial forecasting to aid with business development planning & budgeting.

  • Processing payroll.



  • Flexible working hours, 2 days per week.

  • £25,000 salary, pro rata.

  • 32 days holiday per year, pro rata.

  • Extra day’s holiday per year of service.

  • Laptop provided.
